The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of storytelling
skills through storytelling activities in early childhood group A TK IT Berlian
Pedurungan Semarang in the 2021/2022 school year.
This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subjects
were children aged 4-5 in group A, totaling 10 children. The method used to
collect data is observation, documentation and oral tests.
The results showed that improving children's storytelling skills through
storytelling activities in the IT Berlian Pedurungan Kindergarten group Semarang
in the 2021/2022 school year that the initial pre-cycle percentage was 32.5%,
there were 6 underdeveloped children (UC) and 4 children starting to develop
(CSD). In cycle 1, the percentage of achievement for the big class is 66.25%,
there are 1 child starting to develop (CSD), and 9 children developing according
to expectations (CDAE). In cycle II, the percentage of class success is 90.62%
with 10 children getting the criteria for developing Very Good (CDVG) with a
specified class indicator of 75% so that classroom action research was stopped in
cycle II. Based on the development of these abilities, it is concluded that through
storytelling activities can improve storytelling skills in early childhood group A
TK IT Berlian Pedurungan Semarang in the 2021/2022 school year.
