This study aims to increase children's independence through role-playingmethods in Tk Pertiwi 2 Kacangan Sumberlawang Sragen. This type of researchisclass action research, the research subjects are group B children as recipients of
actions and researchers as givers of actions. The data collection method uses theobservation method to determine the increase in children's independence. Data analysis through interactive data used to analyze data on role-playingactivities and comparative data is used to analyze data on children's independence, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicateanincrease in the independence of the child through the method of role-playing . This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of children'sindependence, namely before the action of 42.65%, an increase in cycle I of
64.05% an increase in cycle I of 72%. The increase in cycle II with a percentageof 87.15%. Thus the researcher's conclusion that the play method can increasechildren's independence in TK Pertiwi 2 Kacangan Sumberlawang, Sragen School
