Cognitive Ability in 2-3 Year Old Children Through Color Block Playing
Method at the Early Childhood Education Post Bina Taruna II Penganten
Village, Balen District, Bojonegoro Regency, 2021/2022 Academic Year" 2022.

This Classroom Action Research aims to determine the application of
cognitive abilities through educational play methods in improving children's
understanding at POS PAUD Bina Taruna II Penganten Village, Balen District,
Bojonegoro Regency for the 2021/2022 Academic Year.
The type of research used in this research is Classroom Action Research
(CAR). Classroom action research also aims to increase the real activities of
teachers in their professional development. This research was conducted at POS
PAUD Bina Taruna II Penganten Village, Balen District, Bojonegoro Regency.
The sample is part of the population taken for research or treatment. The
researcher used group sampling technique to determine the sample. From this
technique obtained children aged 2-3 years consisting of 17 children. The data
analysis technique used in this research is descriptive descriptive technique.
Based on the findings and the results obtained, the following conclusions
can be drawn: Improving the cognitive abilities of children aged 3-4 years through
the color block playing method at POS PAUD Bina Taruna II, Penganten Village,
Balen District, Bojonegoro Regency for the 2021/2022 Academic Year has given
satisfactory results. This is evident from the recapitulation of the assessment of
children's cognitive abilities using the color block playing method. In the initial
study only 2 children or 12% of 17 children, in the first cycle students who
mastered reached 47% or 8 children, so student achievement from the initial study
to the first cycle increased by 6 or 35%. The improvement of students' cognitive
abilities using the color block playing method was quite good, seen in the second
cycle, which reached 88% or 15 children from the total, 17 children.
