Social media is the most important thing for our daily life, it is used to find information,
view information and share information among students and society in general, because from

The purpose of this study is to find out the use of social media in geography education
students at Ivet University

This research is a descriptive qualitative research, data collection techniques are carried out by
means of interviews and observations and documentation of data obtained from interviews with
students of geography education at Ivet University. The data analysis carried out is data
reduction, data modeling, data presentation and conclusion
The results of the research from the description of the use of social media in geography
education students at Ivet Semarang University are 1 student on average all use social media
2 students use social media as a means to find and share information
3 students on average use social media properly and correctly
The 4 types of social media they use are whatsaap Facebook line Instagram etc
5 makes it easier for students to use social media as a means of looking for college assignments,
looking for friends, looking for information, sharing information
