Education is very important because with higher education a person can have
wider job opportunities. A person with a high level of education will be more
likely to have a higher level of income than someone with a low level of education.
This research is related to the level of income by the workforce which focuses on
the head of the family associated with his educational background.
This study aims to determine (1) the education level of the residents of
Bendan Duwur Village (2) the income level of the residents of Bendan Duwur
Village (3) the relationship between education level and the income level of
residents of Bendan Duwur Village.
This research is a quantitative research. The population is 1603 with 10% as
research sample by theory by Arikunto Suharsimi, obtained a sample of 160
samples with probability sampling technique. The data were obtained from
secondary data in the Bendan Duwur Village in 2022-2023. Data analysis used is
descriptive analysis and chi square test.
The results of this study are (1) it is known that the majority of respondents,
namely 45% of respondents, have graduated from secondary education
(SLTA/equivalent) (2) It is known that the majority of respondents, namely 55.6%
of respondents, are included in the low income category, income ≤ Rp. 3,000,000
per month (3) there is a significant relationship between level of education with
the income level of residents in Bendan Duwur Village, it is proven that X2 count
(52,75) > X2 table (5.99).
