Implementation means application or implementation. The independent
learning curriculum is a curriculum with various intracurricular learning.
Economics Subject is a subject that has very complex material and has high
relevance in everyday life. Based on the data obtained from the research location,
it shows that the implementation of the independent curriculum has not been
carried out optimally. This is because the teacher does not understand the
contents of the independent curriculum. For example, a lack of teacher training,
limited teacher handbooks and inadequate infrastructure which has hampered the
teaching and learning process.
This study aims to: (1) Changes in how teachers are prepared in
implementing the Independent Curriculum in Economics Class X in Islamic High
School Raudhotut Tholibin Demak (2) Changes in how Implementation of the
Independent Curriculum in Economics Class X in SMA Islam Raudhotut Tholibin
Demak (3) ) ) Knowing what are the obstacles faced by teachers in the
Implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Economics Class X at SMA
Islam Raudhotut Tholibin Demak
This study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques,
observation, interviews and documentation. While the data analysis technique
uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
The results of this study are as follows: (1) The readiness of teachers in
implementing the Independent Curriculum in Economics Class X at SMA Islam
Raudhotut Tholibin Demak has been carried out well and is in accordance with
the Independent Curriculum guidelines, this is evidenced by several documents
that have been made, namely the the school has made the Education Unit
Operational Curriculum (KOSP), the teacher has made the Learning Objectives
Flow (ATP) and also the Teaching Module (MA). (2) The implementation of the
Independent Curriculum for Class X Economics at Islamic High School
Raudhotut Tholibin Demak has been carried out properly in accordance with the
guidelines and structure of the independent curriculum, namely using
intracurricular and co-curricular learning, both of which are interrelated with
each other, but in implementation is still not optimal. (3) Obstacles faced by
teachers in implementing the Independent Curriculum in class X economics
subjects at Raudhotut Tholibin Demak Islamic High School, namely limited
references, teachers do not have an independent learning experience program, no
training on independent curriculum, teachers find it difficult to get out of their
comfort zone when teaching and also inadequate school facilities and
infrastructure.
