The scope of the problem in this study includes the ability of children to
understand and recognize basic numbers 1-20 in children who are still low. The
objectives to be achieved are: To find out and prove the increase in cognitive
abilities in early mathematics for children aged 5-6 years through the Tolkasmin
game at Trisari Kindergarten, Gubug District, Grobogan Regency.
The type of research used in this research is Classroom Action Research
(CAR). Classroom Action Research is the process of studying learning problems in
the classroom through self-reflection and efforts to solve them by carrying out
various planned actions in real situations and analyzing every effect of these
actions. Sanjaya (2013:160). . the subjects of this study were all students of Pertiwi
Trisari Kindergarten, Gubug District, Grobogan Regency, while the teacher
functioned as implementing class action and other teachers as observers.
The results of the study showed that learning through tolkasmin games
succeeded in increasing children's cognitive abilities, especially the ability to
recognize numbers. It is possible to increase this because in learning children
understand numbers more easily with appropriate learning and the use of learning
media that supports these activities. The increase occurred in each indicator in
cycles I and II. In cycle II the learning outcomes reached 89%.
