During the golden age, character education from an early age is very
important. Early age is a critical age for the formation of one's character,
instilling morals through character education as early as possible is the main key
to building a nation.
The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the character of
discipline through traditional engklek games in group B of Dharma Wanita
Ngombak Kindergarten, Kedungjati District.
This research is a classroom action research with a quantitative
approach. The subjects in this study were students in group B TK Dharma Wanita
Ngombak, Kedungjati District, which totaled 16 children consisting of 7 boys and
9 girls. The techniques used in data collection are observation, interviews, and
documentation.
The results of this class action research show that the character of
discipline can be improved through the traditional game of engklek as evidenced
by the pre-cycle disciplinary character which obtained BSB and BSH values of
6.25%, then increased in the I cycle by 50%, and in cycle II by 87.5 % and this
shows an increase in the character of discipline in children in group B TK
Dharma Wanita Ngombak Kedungjati District.
