Part Learning Media for Children 5-6 Years Old at Manggar Kindergarten,
Brambang Village, Karangawen District, Demak Regency, PG-PAUD, Faculty
of Teacher Training and Education, Ivet University Semarang
The background of this research is the low fine motor skills in children aged
5-6 years at TK Manggar Brambang. Problems were found, namely that there were
still many children who had not been able to achieve indicators of fine motor skills,
some children still had difficulty picking up with two fingers, sticking neatly and
holding a pencil properly. This is because there are causes that result in the initial
conditions increasing fine motor skills which are still not optimal, namely the
conventional learning process, the teacher provides learning that is fixated on
monotonous book media.
There is a formulation of the problem in this study: "how to improve fine
motor skills through the loose part learning media in children aged 5-6 years at
Manggar Kindergarten, Brambang Village, Karangawen District, Demak
Regency?". The general objective of this study was to determine the increase in fine
motor skills through the loose part learning mediain children aged 5-6 years at
Manggar Kindergarten, Brambang Village.
The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research which
consists of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study
were 19 children aged 5-6 years in Manggar Brambang Kindergarten.
Data collection techniques in this study are through observation, interviews
and documentation. The fine motor skills of children after being given activities
through the loose part learning media have increased in each cycle. Child can pick
up with two fingers, stick neatly and hold pencil properly. Recommendations for
teachers and future researchers to improve children's fine motor skills through the
loose part learning media are to choose activities that are more creative and
interest children.
