The purpose of this research in general is to improve the cognitive
abilities of children aged 4-5 years at KB Tunas Argo Condro, Kedungjati
District, Grobogan Regency using a geometric bowling game.
The research method uses Classroom Action Research which is
carried out in collaboration between teachers and researchers using 2 cycles.
Improvements were made in each cycle designed by the researcher. The
population in this study were 20 children from KB Tunas Argo Condro,
Kedungjati District, Grobogan Regency. The researcher was assisted by
teacher partners as collaborators. Data obtained by observation and
documentation. The data that has been collected will be analyzed using the
percentage technique and the total score of each will be calculated and
distributed into a range of values.
The results showed that the pre-cycle achieved 50%, the first cycle
obtained 66.25% and the second cycle obtained 95%. There is a change in
behavior in children through the game of bowling geometry increasing
children's cognitive intelligence as seen from increasing the activity of
children from 66.25% of cycle 1 to 95% of cycle 2. Supported by teacher
performance which increases in cycle 1, the value of 81% increases in cycle 2
to 89 %. Improving children's cognitive abilities through a game of bowling
geometry from the difference in cognitive ability scores in pre-cycle and cycle
2, namely 95 - 50 = 45%.
Thus it can be seen to what extent the increase in children's cognitive
abilities has been achieved after being stimulated through a geometric bowling
game.
