The scope of the problem in this study includes the application of the bottle
cap game in increasing understanding of basic numbers 1-10 for TK KB Kartika
Rejosari Kindergarten students, Kradenan District, Grobogan Regency, especially
the even semester of the 2022/2023 school year. The objectives to be achieved are:
1) To describe the application of the bottle cap game to improve understanding of
basic numbers 1-10 in KB Kartika Rejosari students, Kradenan District,
Grobogan Regency. 2) To examine the understanding of basic numbers 1-10 in
students at KB Kartika Rejosari, Kradenan District, Grobogan Regency.
The type of research used is qualitative research, namely research on how
to obtain data based on the results of observations, interviews, documents, and
tests on a number of subjects (Sugiyono, 2014: 27). While the approach used is a
class action approach, which is a study that aims to improve the results of the
learning process because it is able to bridge the gap between theory and practice
and is collaborative which involves participants joining together to examine
learning practices and developing an understanding of the meaning of action
(Arikunto, 2014 : 115). The subjects of this study were all 12 students in group A,
while the teacher functioned as the executor of the class action and the other
teachers as observers.
The results of the study are: 1) Cognitive abilities in recognizing the
concept of numbers can be improved through the bottle cap game, it can be seen
that children who achieve the complete criteria, namely BSH (Developing
According to Expectations) and BSB (Developing Very Well) in the Pre-Cycle,
there are 2 children or 17 %, in Cycle I the 1st Meeting there were 4 children or
33%, in Cycle I the 2nd Meeting there were 6 children or 50%, in Cycle II the 1st
Meeting there were 9 children or 75%, and in Cycle II Meeting 2nd number of 11
children or 92%. 2) The teacher succeeded in implementing CAR, it can be seen
that the teacher's performance in the Pre-Cycle was 45 points or 56%, in Cycle I
the 1st meeting was 51 points or 64%, in Cycle I the 2nd meeting was 59 points or
74%, in Cycle II of the 1st Meeting of 66 points or 83%, and in Cycle II of the 2nd
Meeting of 69 points or of 86%.
